Christian Values

At Manorfield, our Christian values are at the heart of everything we do. Rooted in our Christian foundation and inspired by the teachings of Jesus, these values help to shape our character, guide our choices and influence the way we treat one another. Whilst our school welcomes and celebrates people of all faiths and none, our Christian values provide a shared set of principles that unite our community.

These Christian values are brought to life through our school rules: We are kind and compassionate, we are respectful, we are honest, and we are polite and well-mannered. Together, our values and rules help to create a school where everyone feels safe, valued and able to flourish.

Thankfulness

Thankfulness

Our Christian value of Thankfulness encourages us to appreciate the people, opportunities and experiences in our lives. We recognise the kindness of others, show gratitude and value what we have. We demonstrate thankfulness through our positive attitudes, good manners and by regularly saying please and thank you.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness

Our Christian value of Forgiveness helps us to learn from mistakes and move forward positively. We understand that everyone gets things wrong from time to time and that each day brings a new opportunity to make better choices. By accepting apologies, avoiding grudges and working together to resolve difficulties, we live out our school rule of being kind and compassionate.

Trust

Trust

Our Christian value of Trust is built through honesty, reliability and doing the right thing. We strive to be truthful, take responsibility for our actions and speak to trusted adults when we need support. By being honest and dependable, we help to create a school community where everyone feels safe and respected.

Respect

Respect

Our Christian value of Respect means treating others as we would like to be treated. We value different beliefs, opinions, experiences and backgrounds, listening carefully and speaking politely to others. We also demonstrate respect by caring for our environment, resources and belongings, reflecting our school rule of being respectful in all that we do.

Compassion

Compassion

Our Christian value of Compassion encourages us to show kindness, understanding and consideration towards others. We support those who need help, include others in our activities and seek to understand different experiences and perspectives. Through compassion, we ensure that everyone feels welcomed, valued and included within our school community.

Endurance

Endurance

Our Christian value of Endurance helps us to persevere when learning is challenging. We understand that success often comes through effort, determination and resilience. We keep trying, learn from our mistakes and develop the confidence to overcome obstacles and achieve our goals.

Wisdom

Wisdom

Our Christian value of Wisdom helps us to make thoughtful decisions and learn from our experiences. It encourages us to consider the impact of our actions, recognise right from wrong and make positive choices. Through wisdom, we develop independence, good judgement and a commitment to becoming the best version of ourselves.

At Manorfield, our Christian values are not simply words on a page; they are lived out every day through our actions, relationships and school rules. They support our vision of “Caring, Sharing, Inspiring” and help us to develop confident, considerate and responsible young people who are equipped to make a positive contribution to their communities and the wider world.
