Vision and Ethos

At Manorfield C of E Primary School, every child and family is a valued part of our Manorfield Family.

Rooted in our Christian vision and inspired by the words of Matthew 25, we strive to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels they belong, is treated with dignity and respect, and is encouraged to flourish.

‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:35–36, 40

These words remind us that kindness matters. They teach us that when we care for others, particularly those who may be vulnerable or in need, we show God’s love through our actions.

This is at the heart of life at Manorfield.

Caring

We want our children to care about themselves, care for others and care about the world around them.

We nurture kind, compassionate and respectful children who understand that their words and actions can make a difference. We want every child to feel safe, valued and confident to be themselves, knowing that they are an important part of our school community.

Sharing

We encourage our children to share their knowledge, talents, ideas, kindness and good fortune with others.

We believe that learning is richer when we learn together, listen to one another and celebrate what makes each of us unique. We want our children to be generous in spirit, respectful of different experiences and perspectives, and willing to support and encourage those around them.

Inspiring

We want our children to be inspired by their learning and to inspire others.

Through an exciting and engaging curriculum, excellent teaching and strong relationships, we encourage children to be curious, courageous and resilient learners. We nurture their talents, celebrate their achievements and encourage them to discover what they can achieve.

Most importantly, we want every child to develop a lifelong love of learning.

Everyone Belongs

At Manorfield, we believe that every child matters and every child has something special to offer.

We take the time to know our children as individuals, to understand their strengths, interests and needs, and to help them develop their confidence and potential. We celebrate individuality and recognise that every child will have their own unique journey.

We believe that children flourish when they feel known, understood and valued. That is why relationships are at the heart of our school.

We work closely with parents and carers, recognising that the strongest outcomes for children come when home and school work together. We listen to our families, value their contributions and want every family to feel welcomed and part of the Manorfield community.

We also believe that children’s voices matter. We encourage our pupils to express their ideas, make choices, take responsibility and play an active role in shaping our school.

Flourishing Together

Our aspiration is that every child leaves Manorfield with confidence in themselves, compassion for others and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

We want our children to leave us as caring, sharing and inspiring individuals — ready to embrace new opportunities, face challenges with courage and make a positive difference in the world around them.

At Manorfield, we strive to live out our Christian vision every day: caring for one another, sharing what we have and inspiring each other to flourish.

Caring. Sharing. Inspiring.
